A simple oil painting that I did a couple of weeks ago.
This was done from my mind, without photos or object.

Hi there,im no critic,but I know how important input is from other people.I thought id jump in and answer your question with my own interpretation.I think the vase and flowers are brilliantly painted,the two yellow flowers accompanying the vase perfectly.What I felt let it down though was the dull background colour.I imagined a nice shade of orange unread.Keep up the great work and hope my input has been of any help.with regards/patrick

Personally I like the painting very much , including the background. It just proves that
we, as the viewers, are all different and that is the beauty of looking at art in general.
As artists, we should remember to create how we want and what we need to do at
the moment of creation and completely switch off to our inner critic especially, as in

Thank you both for your comments and suggestions, which I always take into account.
Indeed I like simple backgrounds in this sort of themes. However I've been told more than once to do it differently :-)
