Hello Russell,
I have found your work and had a look. I like abstraction in art and do some geometric abstracts myself. I like your colour and shapes. I,m sure your technique and style will grow. Mine still is. Maybe put some words with each image to explain your thoughts of the painting. I used to find that hard to do at first. Keep on painting.Kenneth Clarke.

Hi Russell,

I particularly like the more solid block work like this: http://russellwood.artweb.com/home/390749_geometric-1.html
I think it works really well within geometric outlines.

Good luck with the site. It looks clean and inviting.

Thanks for the kind words. Largely self taught myself, though I do go to classes with a local art group. Something I would encourage you to do to. It's a great place to meet like minded souls who are usually happy to give constructive feedback and also support when the creative juices fail to flow. I paint in oils rather than water colours because its a much more responsive medium and allows you to get lots of different and subtle effects.

Good luck and have fun painting
