PostUsing images as links to galleries?

by loupoulsom » Mon Jun 01, 2009 8:06 pm

Hello all,

I'm new here, trialling the site. I'm toying with the best layout for my site and wondered if something is possible. Is it possible to use the images on the home page to link to images within one of your galleries? I'm guessing probably not but being a novice at this I thought it was worth checking. I'd love to use my colour image to link to my colour gallery and my black and white image to link to my black and white gallery but have no idea if my expectations are too high or not. Any advice would be wonderful.

Lou

Hi Lou,

I haven't been using the site that long myself but I think you're right.

You can only access other pages from your home screen by using the menu buttons above the images.

If anybody knows different please comment as this would be a great feature.

Good luck

Kaye

Hi Lou and Kaye,
I raised a similar call for help and got useful advice http://www.artistsforum.org/art-materials-suppliers-f10/call-for-help-with-web-presentation-t2107860.html
My limited understanding is we can only utilise the preset links within our web templates. Any other ways of linking text or images would have to be done externally using html editing to utilize further images etc on sites like flkr etc. Look in the TAW FAQ's for more info on this It might also be worth looking at filesocial if you decide to go down the external links route. The image quality is good. I'm working on it

Good luck :D
