PostNew portrait finished

by catherinecreaney » Wed Jun 29, 2011 8:06 pm

Hi I thought I'd share a new portrait I finished today. I created it with Unison and Sennelier soft pastels and Conte pastel pencils on pastel paper. It was a challenge and pleasure to create. Hope you like it :)

Great attention to detail. You really caught an interesting expression in the face, very life-like

Hi Cahterine
It's always encouraging seeing artists pursuing the course of realism- as you have in this new portrait of yours, it's a good indicator that you possess a heightened level of discipline, commitment and care. I've found that people who excel in one area of activity or state of mind usually excel in many other aspects of being- and this is not only good for humanity but good for art too. So in the event of my perceptions being accurate, well done Catherine and keep on doing what you are doing. Bye, Mick.
