PostNeed advice

Hi everyone I'm new to this forum.

I've just started to mess around with inks and got some really cool effects but once they dry it changes the effects completely. Here's an example of what I mean.

First I get this when the ink is still wet which looks really cool:

But after it dries it looks like this :\

Any idea how I can get it to stay like the first one? Thanks everyone

Hi Jamie
I occasionally work with inks. It is possible that the problem lies with the cupport you are using. If it's watercolour paper the ink is just sinking in. I have used ink on Bristolboard and as I recall it retained it's intensity. You just gotta leave it to dry, no fiddling.
Best of luck
