Displaying/Selling drawings in a 'rack'

Hi all,

as I've posted previously, I'm putting on a solo show of 2D work in a few months. I intend to frame up a few drawings to go alongside the paintings but I'm wondering if it's a good idea to have one of those v shaped art rack things with other drawings and prints in that people can flick through.

My only worry is that this might devalue the work, will it turn into a bit of a bargain bin?,

any thoughts are appreciated (lets see if I can beat the zero replies of my last post!),

Cheers all,

Jon,

Hi Jon,

Have a little experience of painting shows - exhibiting and curating, and generally the wrack is used when the walls are full. I'd say that the wrack value thing depends on the rest of the atmosphere created in presentation, marketing and pricing. I know I would never use 'the wrack' in a mixed show again, but I can't see any problems as part of solo show display. Hope you get more answers from veteran exhibitors, and good luck for the show. Great work by the way :)

Helen
