Postbest way to accept payment in an exhibition

Hi all,

I'm putting on an exhibition on the 1st Sept in Bristol (please come along if your in the area!) http://www.jonratigan.com/Shows.html
I just wanted people's advice on how to accept payment if anyone should want to buy anything. I thought about some sort of paypal arrangement but have heard stories that they are not good for sums over £500, cheques are probably not good too I'm guessing, what do other people do, I've never done this before?

thanks Jon

Try http://www.squareup.com. From what I understand it's free or you can purchase at a retail location and you can use your own bank account instead of having a merchant account. They have two options: (1) Pay 2.75% per credit card swipe and (2) pay $275 per month for transactions under $400. It's only compatable with certain iPhones, iPads and Androids so make sure you have one that's compatable before getting it.
